Established in 2021This nonprofit organization originally started because of a research project on “An analysis of upper elementary students' attitudes toward STEM: A pilot study." The research revealed many opportunities to further STEM outreach to girls, and the nonprofit came to be!

Our Mission
Our organization focuses on empowerment and leadership.
For children K-5, especially those from underrepresented groups, it is important to expose them to STEM activities that will jumpstart their education and curiosity. By providing volunteering opportunities for high school and college students, we hope to inspire them to become leaders and mentors in their community.
As students continue their journey through education, we believe that it is important to remind them that STEM careers are attainable and empower them to become a leader in their community!

Chapters
Chapters around the world allow us to spread STEM education further and empower young women to take initiative in their local communities. A chapter of She Leads STEM can take form in a high school organization/club, or even a personal project in your local community—it can be any size!
In creating a chapter, you benefit from one-on-one mentoring, resources, and credibility to allow for your STEM projects to happen. Furthermore, you join a community of other leaders in STEM to bring She Leads STEM's mission to life.

Our Team
"I decided to take Ellie’s organization and bring it to my school as a club to spread her message around to my peers. The point we’re trying to get across is so important and even often forgotten so taking this organization a step further really means a lot to me personally, a girl who is interested in STEM related careers!"
